I received official word yesterday that my application to upgrade from Associate to TEP had been approved. For those that don’t know, TEP is a recognised designation from the The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners which is the leading global body for advising families in private client matters. STEP is a global organisation with members worldwide.
STEP considers its members are the best in the sector and a TEP’s expertise is valued by policymakers, employers and clients alike.
It demonstrates my knowledge and expertise in estates, wills, trusts and tax for private clients such as IHT, CGT and Income Tax. I can offer this experience and expertise to you as a Direct Access Barrister.
To gain the designation of TEP I completed the STEP Diploma which required me to take four exams:
- Advanced Certificate in Administration of Estates (E&W)
- Advanced Certificate in Administration of Trusts (E&W)
- Advanced Certificate in Taxation of Trusts and Estates (E&W)
- Advanced Certificate in Trust and Estate Accounting (E&W)
I managed to earn a Merit overall in my studies. I will be celebrating with a glass of wine tonight.
